  • (Seeking advise) speed limit

    Hi guys,

Need some advise from car drivers.

Was traveling at BKE today at about 99 almost 100km/h. Past 2 slow vehicle beside me and realize a white ant standing under the bridge with his camera.

Just wanna ask what are the chances of pang chance? Or confirm kana?

    Thanks!

See the ant's mood, normally will not get the fine if travel at 90 to 100 on a 90 speed limit road.

I kena before, if its your first time they will just send you warning letter but no fine or demerit points.

Whether the letter will come also depends whether he got a good shot on you

If u r very sure ur speed is about 100km/h... Then it should be safe.

If u get a letter, the most will be just a warning...

I gotten once at 103km/h written on the warning letter... And it should be quite true as most of the time I go ard 105km/h.

Based on some backdoor info, they only send you a letter when your speed >=13kph over the speed limit.
If it is less than 20kph over, sometimes you can get away with a warning if your record is clean.

Thus, if skirting the "limit", better to make sure your speedo is accurate

If you are very sure it's under 100km/h... then you can be sure that at the most they send u a warning letter or they dunt even bother.
Unless.... That part of the road is 80km/h.

I have a very similar situation as you and I was drivubg 104km/h on my electronic speedo when I see him. The letter did not come eventually. Lucky then. My front camera even record him shooting me and reading his gadget.

Maybe you can explain that you need to overtake that slow moving van which is not suppose to be on the 2nd lane.

If this is your first time it should be fine. I mean, should be ok, not should kena fined

I got caught @ 74km/h along a road with speed limit 60km/h, received warning letter. My friend very recently got caught @ 89km/h along a road with speed limit 70km/h, also received warning letter. So I guess that they give chance to first offender exceeds < 20km/h.

Many believe there is this unofficial allowance of 10km/h, else everyday half of the drivers on the road could kena. Officially, the rules say exceeding speed limit by "1 to 20km/h" leads to a fine and 4 demerit points.

Hope that you get nothing from them.
Thing had happen happened. There is nothing you can do now.
Next time drive within the acceptable speed. Unless your car speed can go faster then their camera shuttle speed.
Worry also useless, just go back to your usual life and life will be easier.

                        Wish you good luck bro.

I had one letter for exceeded 13km.
So far had only one letter. The rest cleared.

From experience if more than 3 weeks no letter,
                            should be cleared.

Kept the letter for souvenir to remind myself to look at bridges more.

Most appeal regarding speeding will fail normally unlike parking offence.
Our tp take speeding very seriously. They seem to be on the ball recently too.
I kanna a 117km/h on 90km/h last year ... I think 6pts plus 150 dollars. Since then, I travelled max 100km/h and at the most warning letter.
I find no point to play chance in singapore.

Once in malaysia, then play all you want. I will just take their fine and dont pay haha.
