Anyone lost valuables/Wallet before? - can share experience..

Hi All

Wanted to share this experience,

I was going for interview ytd and I lost my wallet when I went off e bus.
Luckily e wallet was found on my letterbox so Im glad tat e important cards like IC was intact but e money amounted to $70 was gone.. Well I would say bad luck to a certain extent but gd tat e wallet was returned.

Anyone encountered this before?

Bro... so careless.... must be careful lah... anyway... lucky your NRIC and cards are still around... but if got credit card, better check your transactions.....

Me also lost once before... when i was quite young... keke... Mr MATA... come to our house.... ask me to go police post to claim.....

When I was a teenager, I bought my passport for renewal. Somehow left it in the bus I took... took a cab to the bus interchange to see if anyone found it and gave it to the bus driver... but no luck... after a few days, someone called and told me that she found my passport on the bus... so lucky, met this nice lady and got back the passport. My dad gave her $50 for reward but she didn't want it. In the end, my dad insisted she has the $50 and everyone is happy! The good thing about the experience is that I am more careful and have not lost anything important since then...

mine is during eve of cny .. wallet got abt 600 bux.. ic.. cc.. all lost.. nvr found.. :bong:

about 3 or 4 years ago this happened

my wallet drop out of pocket when i was alighting off my mum's car at ps taxi stand. most likely drop on the road. i tot it is gone. however a taxi driver return it a few days

then <2 weeks after this happen, i left my wallet at the back of the taxi. never record license no. so cannot trace. but the kind taxi driver return it to me the next day minus the 20 dollars cash inside

then about 2 months later i left it in the taxi again. this time it was never found or returned. managed to trace the driver but he say cannot find it. most likely another passenger took it

You won't believe what I am about to tell you:

I lost my key pouch during an overseas trip in L.A., US, many-many years back. Left it in the hotel room drawer and totally forgotten about it until when I returned back to Singapore 2 weeks later. Pouch contained few keys and so fortunately, a Singtel (pager) bill. Thought its a goner but guess what; a Singaporean couple on honeymoon, stayed in the same hotel room right after me and found my key pouch! They paged me when they returned after about a month and my pouch was returned to me with all intact, in original condition!!


I really thanked them like mad and extended my gratitude by treating the couple to a sumptuous meal.

it is like you must lost your wallet... can't avoid... ha ha ha....

As for me...my phone was stolen right before my eyes 7 or 8 years ago...from then on I became very very careful of my phone and wallet. I always check for them...every once in awhile. Then again.. well my phones and wallet arent cheap la...and cannot afford to lose. So...very very careful.
