Watches to me is like having a cup of coffee with some sugar added to make it taste better. Whether I’m wearing my cheapest watch or more expensive ones on a particular day I still feel the same --- bcos it goes with the mood I am in at that given time. It’s the watch itself that made me happy and not the price of the watch.
At the end of the day we shall all return to dust and we cant bring our earthly treasure with us….so don’t feel small or envy…just let the watch itself makes you feel happy (even for a few hours) becos the guy wearing the more expensive watch may have a thousand worries on his mind and may not necessaryily be feeling happy.
Sometimes we too go thru the same thing….it goes to show that earthly treasures can only make us happy to a certain extent but not all the time.
There is more to life than watches or cars….facebook.com/watches.jamy

Not exactly about watches but in line with the topic.
I have a friend who owns both a mercs sl350 and a cls350. I drive a fiat . We both earn nearly identical salaries. Sure, when our mutual friends meet. Everyone goes, dayum you got some sweet rides, you must have tons of money. Hah, well end of the day, people can show off whatever they want. Its called conspicuous consumption. But real wealth is how much we are worth. Assets minus liabilities. Simple as that to me.
So if a fella's wearing a casio but he's got 10 miilion USD in a brokerage account then umm ok man whatever floats his boat. If he wears a harry winston but has to mortgage his house then, well this guy seems like a dumbass. Or maybe that's what he wants. Who am I to judge him?
We can talk about sound decision making, buying things you can afford or of feeling confident in yourself or your purchase. We can judge others and say, yea he drives a ferrari but so what, my house is bigger. But really at the end of the day its all about making sure your ambition lie within reach of your abilities.
So if you are see some fella wearing a more expensive watch than you. Ask yourself, does it bother you? If yes, then do something about it. Use that envy and die a person with more material wealth than him. If it doesn't, then good for you. Maybe compliment that fella on his good taste. Cause end of the day, everybody likes to feel special in someway or another.
