the family of the dead guy can sue the man who cause the pileup, like the jogger who ran accross the road at scotts rd whose wife sue the lady driver till she was made broke.

it's fair if someone loses a life as a result of it

the slogan "drink don't drive" must now also add "drink dun jaywalk"

i like the way u invoke critical thinking. i know where you are coming from. how many times do we see parents telling the kids to use the traffic lights when crossing the road but when they are together with the kids, they dont use the traffic lights. but then again, people can argue road and expressway is different. compare orange and apple again story.......

there are many a times where if you preach something, someone else will think that you do what you preach. there is a tendency to forget that preaching and doing what you preach is 2 separate matters. it is just like when in a discussion with 2 opposing views, you take a stand on one view from your friend and you are viewed as a sinner by your friend. taking a stand does not mean you HAVE TO SUPPORT that view.

this reminds me of an ethics class that I attended in primary school. the principal gave us the exact scenario but used a dog instead of a person. His answer: let the dog die.

my cousin also encountered a similar incident on the malaysian highway in 07. according to him, it was abt 2300hrs and the car was cruising at abt 160kmh. apparently a cat just dashed out of nowhere and onto the highway. well, my cousin didn't have a choice given the conditions. in retrospect, if he swerve the car to avoid the animal, i'm pretty sure the car would have spun out of control and get whacked by on-coming vehicles.
                        Remnants of my irresponsibility:

                        2) Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 M series-23 Jan 08 (HER perpetual oyster )
                        3) Omega Seamaster Chrono Diver 2225.80.00-25 Jul 08 (From Wife )
