Report troll to mod and let mod handle. BTW, how do u determine troll? Someone that keep challenging others and use derogatory remarks when they lose in an argument? I encounter some of the banned member in thread and personally I find them still ok lah. On the other hand, I see ppl instigating the troll...

The members report what they deem as inappropriate. How to determine a troll is the job of the mods, and I honestly don't think the forum needs to explain openly every such decisions. The person who created a thread recently to question banning of some members turned out to be a troll himself.

I do however agree with you that sometimes some members instigated the trolls but I don't think you can blame them for that. Again, it is up to the mods to moderate if they see such getting back at the trolls as inappropriate. For me it just shows that there is no space for troll in this forum.

Your point of some trolls being an ok person outside the forum is quite irrelevant. It doesn't mean a nice guy should not be given a yellow or red card when he committed foul in a football match. That's the rule of the game.

I think u got me wrongly. I interact with the banned member in this forum only. The ppl I meet face2face are all ballwatch owners and far from trolling others.
But tks TS for starting and going through great effort to enlighten ppl like me. Cheers.

I think you are referring to this comment of mine? - "Your point of some trolls being an ok person outside the forum is quite irrelevant." I was not referring to trolls/members elsewhere. What I was trying to say is, the fact that a banned member (be it from this or other forums) behaves ok in person is irrelavant to whether they should be banned or not, since the rules refer to behaviour inside the forum, not outside the forum.

By the way, I think it is necessary to differentiate between a troll and a banned member in our discussions in this thread.

Some members are banned not due to trolling but for infringing other forum rules.

Yes, must differentiate both. Nick starting with n... is troll to most users but fine with me even though he keep doubting whether my deepsea info was right or not. ; )
