Just curious, how is the performance of your Saab. I don't get to hear much about this car but I know that it has one of the best engines around.

Saab... must say I have a weakness for it. Very nearly bought the 95 Aero a few years back if not for my OC dragging me back. Press the 'S' button... wah... rocket. Only thing is that it torque-steers like a pig. Well... so much power on the front wheels...

The only 2 cars that is catching my eye is the:
          1) VW Scirocco (damn sexy man)
          2) Audi A4 2.0T (very chippable and with quattro)

haha... I don't know why have a thing for lau sai cars...

Yes, Saab is not the kind of car most Singaporeans would buy coz Mercedes and BMW have more brand power.

I did alot of research before buying it and it also helped that I know people who have been driving Saab's for years.

My Saab 9-3 has almost 200hp(after a legal factory chip upgrade) and the engine is excellent. The turbo on the car is a Light Pressure type and kicks in later unlike a WRX or something like that.

Car handles very well and after driving Japanese cars for so long this was a great bonus. Put the car on Sports mode and the pick up gets much better.

Overall a great car, you can do 200km/h & up on the highway in Malaysia and you feel safe as it holds very well. The car is big on safety as well.

When buying the Saab, I was also considering the BMW 3 but chose the Saab because it was slightly cheaper and I was getting more stuff for the money spent. Truly a pleasure to drive.

Errr... you mean the LPT kick in earlier at low revs (1.8k rpm if I remember correctly) while WRX using big turbos so they will only kick in at about 3.5k rpm. So got turbo lag...

When you are looking for the Saab, check out the new 'ALL WHEEL DRIVE' model, think it is called XWD. 2.8L V6 engine!!!

Cannot afford the XWD model, so now aiming the Sub TT C blue on blue!!

being a malaysian...after owning a car back home it totally turned me off. a car have always been a liability and being it a necessity back home, it totally sucked off more than 50% of your pay in installments, insurance, maintenance, petrol, toll(ERP) and road tax and etc...

ever since i came over to SG and not having to own a car i find i have extra to indulge on other stuff and also staying in central, kinda defeats the whole purpose of having to own one since it's convenient.

although i would say the first 6 months here was a torture being having to adjust to taking public transportation again. your time being tied down to the the schedule of the trains and buses. also not to mention can't go anywhere for supper or just joy riding.

i always laugh whenever my sg colleagues complain about jams and driving habits of the locals. it's nothing compared to the situation back in malaysia. also do not dis malaysian women drivers...especially KL girls.. they can drive harder..park better than most males over here.
