        any chance if this bank would file for bankruptcy? seems really remote then but now, appearing to be a probable outcome.

                  I still think Citibank may be either bankrupt or be sold or merged... US govt already send a few rescue package to it already... I think hard to survive...

                          It depends... if it remains listed, you can still trade its stock but stock price will not be very good as the objective of nationalized bank is very different to a commerical bank.....

                              If citi declares bankrupt, worse! stock value becomes Zero and maybe newspaper headline reads " XXX bank bought Citibank for US$1 " and take over its business.... cry also no tears...
