Intent of the photo is not the main issue.

Proud of achievements is one issue. Posing with such a watch in SAF uniform is an issue. Other members in the public is not so kind.

I don't see any issues as he earn a honest pay. The person did not compromise sensitive info about our national security and definitely no wrong in taking with uniform. If wearing a expensive watch is a crime, a lot of us will surely loose our jobs. Because most of us wear much more expensive watch then our bosses. How about our colleagues, no end to their gossip on how we can afford such things. How about cars also?

Now if that watch was the one they give for NSman who complete their service instead of thw swiss army or hamilton depending on your time that would be very nice....
Anyways I do recall some gulf states like UAE and Oman have limited edition rolex for military service.. I recall the model is a datejust 16013 like the link below...

Anyways I see nothing wrong with the photo, it is not as though the person is doing an "Edward Snowden" incident of any sort. And I am pretty sure the Rolex is earned through his honest means, so there is no harm sharing what he has achieved.
Peace out.Last edited by Tricolore; 11-07-13, 03:50 PM."Oh enjoying the thrill of the chase is fine. Craving the distraction of the game, I sympathize entirely. But sentiment, sentiment is a chemical defect found in the losing side."

There is code of conduct. Guess posting yrself or others in Facebook or social media wearing uniform may beach some rules and especially with the hand in that position where ppl can flame him for trying to showoff his gold watch. So what if he can afford? It is the image! Imagine if PM lee drive a Lamborghini? Anything wrong? Nothing what cause he can afford what. So is that really so?sigpic

Except that Edward Snowden didn't do what he did for Rolex or money so maybe not the best reference used there.Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one
