I'm only a member to one other forum (watch-related) but most active here.

The biggest thing I've learnt is to be tolerant because there are many people who still dont know forum ettiquette and have "different" social behaviour.

As what illusion84 have said, some members would ask for photos of your product on sale and then just vanish.
There's also a member who stood me up at Marine Parade for 2 hours and when I finally called him, he said he doesn't want to buy my product.

And..., get this... a member who wanted to buy one of my product came equipped with a venier caliper to measure. He said it was not straight and dont wish to buy. I just wonder, which part of handcrafting work he doesnt understand...???????

So my friends, its best to just overlook these fault of theirs and tell yourselves that these people are naive and don't understand.

          My two latest learnings
          • To enter into an argument needs only to have time. To get out of it, and at the right time, requires humility and wisdom.
          • The last man standing is not necessary the winner.

Still learning the art of how not to get into an argument/fight...

          Hallelujah.

Coincidentally someone said the same thing to me just couple of days ago.

Fighting is not good. Just like war, it doesn't determine who is right - only who is left.

as many of you know that i am currently organizing a MO for straps. about a week ago, thought that i would approach someone i know who did a joint MO straps together couple of years back. approach this person as he is the owner of the forum if it is ok for me to post pictures and provide a link to this website's thread over here. i could have easily posted the link without consulting but it is important to note that as the forum is someone else's, i have to respect the owner even though there is no specific rules to say i cannot post a link from there there. one does not go to someone's else house and treat it like one's own.

over the internet, there are UNSPOKEN netiquette and decorum which are not clearly stated but many people follow. that is why i stated in my previous post, i am still learning.

My learning is that there need to a balance. I started in WUS many years ago and ended up with many sleepless nite as well as temp ban. Slowly migrated to WTF, WPS, TZ and now mainly here. Strangely, I find myself over posting after finishing my part-time degree. Guess I need to moderate myself again... So if u find yrself addicted like me, better find ways to control yrself or u get too engross.

Just my opinion - This thread should be in the "Sticky" as it is such a good read.
