      Well said, bro.

I cannot claim to be a prolific reader but I have had my fair share of books (mostly non-fiction). I read books to gather ideas and insights on how people work and think. Some of the more recent books I have read are "Why I Left Goldman Sachs" by Greg Smith, "The Nine" by Jeffrey Toobin and a book on how Harry Dexter White outwitted John Maynard Keynes at Bretton Woods.

        Man alone wears expensive watches.
And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralysing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of watches kena scratched.

Cant Agree more on your version.. once we get an expensive watch at times we treat it like a precious thing more than the people and events happening around us... Kinda like Gollum from the Lord of the Rings ... ( MY PRECIOUSSSSS......)

        hahah

Talking about comics, do you remember a HK-produced children's magazine called "儿童乐园“?I remember the 'Gigantor' (I think it was called '先锋号’) and the '大婶婆‘ series. Those were incredible memories of my childhood, in addition to ‘Dennis the Menace' in Beano (I think) comics from the UK.

'龙虎门‘ and '中华英雄’ came much, much later...

Yes...儿童乐园 I remember - it's a near square shape popular comics for children. There was also 南洋儿童。 先锋号, as well as 小飞侠 (Astro Boy) were part of a series of robot comics inspired by the Japanese characters which were very popular in HK during the 70's. When I first started reading HK comics, 龙虎门 was called 小流氓 and was like half the A4 size and no colour. The most popular movie magazine was 南国电影 and the most popular women magazine was 姐妹.

                      Hiaz, those were the days...

You see mental drain already. The book reviews have to wait until further notice.
