Was there last week and saw a Milgauss GV at $8.6k plus. I guess it depends on your luck as to what is in the case at the point you pass through the airport.

            JLC Watch at Changi Airport

My wife and I are looking to buy a pair of watch. Initially we sorted of lean toward Rolex but wife decided that JLC is better for her. Last week, when we were departing for holiday, we came across a JLC that she liked at T3. They were giving 25% discount + 7% GST --> good price. So we got it.

is it true that airport price is good?
Now need to look around one for myself.
            Cheers.

Buying rolex in at Changi Airport

                  Hi guys,

Can any of you share with me whether buying Rolex inside Changi Airport is cheaper? Of course buying pre-owned inside the forum is cheaper.

Would like to know if anyone has compared before.

                  Thanks.

i have yet to come across the model i want selling cheaper @ the airport. if you travel frequently, you can drop by the shop and tell them you looking for model X, ask them for the price. however before commiting the piece @ airport, you should have done homework.

then ask the shop @ airport if can put deposit for the piece and collect it when it arrives. however, if you dont, then abit hard to purchase the piece.

I think it's better to get it outside. The only thing is you can save on 7% GST. But if the model is popular, you may not have it on the spot, you may have to ask for reservation. Even if it's available, the discount may or may not be different from elsewhere. But you may give it a try. I always try to find and ask, but the popular sports models are always unavailable. Hope this help.

I was told by my friend who travels frequently and mentioned that Rolex in Changi Airport has limited model to choose from. Therefore it is best to get from AD directly.

                            Buying fom Changi airport

Hi, think its a good deal to buy the watch when u are flying out.

For the tag that I am interested in, I hv checked the AD prices in town and the discount given of15% is the same as from Gassan at Changi airport. Therefore, there is an immediate saving of 7% gst. With the changi rewards card, can earn rebate points too up to 6.5% of the amount spent.

Haha, tot I share some research I did before burning my cash on the tag I hv bn eyeing. U can also call up Gassan at Changi to make sure they hv the watch u want, they can reserve it too.

                            Happy shopping
