wah.. dun know how you derive the idea from my statement leh, that i will look for new contractor if he wear better watch than mine..

yourself said that his prices are not steady liao, a logically thinking person will seek out other contractors for better deals mah (unless he's the only 1 cable dealer in sing or you really like being a carrot cake).

What he wears on his wrist, i dun really care much. his life his $$.

Think it does matter who you are, any one can wear a rolexes, ap , and hublot as long as they enjoy it...

        Wear in good health bro.

Actually, i felt more comfortable to work with someone who dress very appropriately but not lavishly. The contractor who renovated my current place wears a rolex and drives a lexus. The fellow who sold me my car wears a panerai. It was great dealing with both. End of the day, everyone is part of a supply chain and it does not matter what we watch we wear.
          In my possession
Breitling Headwind, Tag Heuer Aqua Racer, Glycine Incursore, Rolex DSSD , Pam320L, Pam305N and Chopard GTXL Power Reserve

I notice that now a day, lots of bank credit card promoters, wear rolex and ask ppl to apply credit card. Frankly, I get abit turn off and I guess their pay must be quite good given that they are in their early to mid twenties...

                  *sad*

Perhaps I can start off first.
I was at Sim Lim tower quite recently to fabricate a piece of cable. Will let the exact description of the shop out.

He was wholesaler of wires and cables and does custom length cable.
I was looking around and he came upon to ask me what I was looking for and upon a quick check I notice he's got a XXXXXX on his wrist. And out of curiosity I decided to buy some custom cables from him.

When I got to know more abt him, I noticed that he travels alot and further more I also noticed that his hands were quite scratch up due to perhaps all the soldering and handling of the cables.

I think most of us will not associate expensive watches with people who had roughen out in life. wrinkle hands and faces.
So my impression was that this guy must have a way in his life.

As long as he gets the job done and is good. Doesn't matter what watches he wear?
If price doesn't meet your requirements, maybe you can look for another one

What abt civil servants. How would that affect your perspective of that individual?

The new tailor I went to wears a PP Nautilus. What did I do? As a watch lover, I chit chat with him abt the Nautilus and why he chose that piece etc. It was great to have a common interest to talk abt apart from the business dealing of making me a suit.
