please remember that dieting if a process that is carried out by your head first, and your body cannot/does not recognize such a process.

what it understands is: uh oh... food is now scarce... i should make and store more fat to prevent death from starvation.

so... eat, but eat lesser, and always exercise... more!

Let me know if any of you interested to know more
Simple before and after meals supplement, no excercise at all and no weight rebound !
Most important is getting ride of the visceral fats which can cause other illness later
            cheers

I lost 14kg in 9 months by running 5km 4 times a week. Eating 2 slices of papaya and 1 slice watermelon for breakfast, normal light lunch, 2 green apples for tea, and light dinner (mixture of steam chicken breast, corn, tofu, brocolli). Eat less fried stuff. I am 1.74 m and I used to weigh 88kg. Now about 74kg.

              For sharing.

I started going to the gym 3 months ago...burning 220 calories per session.
Increased to 250c then, 280c then 320c till I am able to do 350c now..with treadmill, rowing, exercycle and crossramp.
With coffee for breakfast, one plate of salad for lunch and one normal dinner...I have lost just 3.5kg. In 3 looooong months!!!

Any ideas how I can speed up the process ??

How often you go to the gym? If 2-3 times is not enough, 5 times will be just nice with what you are doing now.
What is normal dinner mean? Why not you change your normal dinner to your lunch and lunch to your dinner instead.

                      Thanks for your reply

i tried the kellogs cereal but after 1 week i cldnt sustain. argh! So i made my own meals for breakfast and sometimes dinner, just simple and healthy food like sandwich etc. I suggest some running too? I did this prog called Insanity by ShaunT and it was crazy! But after just 1-2 weeks, i cld see amazing diff. I fitted into my berms! haha.

I lost 10kgs in 3months..jog 5km almost everyday for the first 2 months and third month jog 10km twice a week to maintain. I believe food diet is very important, I try not to take oily food, or if I do I try to eat less, even if I eat soup base food or non oily food I try to eat till 60% full..been hitting the gym too in between jogs just to get a nicer body..hehe..I am still trying to maintain this lifestyle for the 4th month for now..and I think the after burn workout is quite effective..google it or YouTube it for more info..
                          Determination is the key!!

the calorie counter is not the best indicator of how efficiently you are exercising/burning fat. the indicated calories are not the same number of calories being burnt off your stomach. the only principle you can follow using calories is to eat less than you use to lose weight and, if you exercise harder you'll (necessarily) expend more overall calories.

try to work out longer in your target heart rate zone but note that it is not safe nor possible to work out at 100% at all times.

i try to work out at 75%-85% (high) and 60-75% (low) zones when i'm at the gym (average of 145bph, a low of 135bph, with a max of 175bph @ 90%) for specific durations/intervals at each cardio station.

vary your intervals, and lift weights. over time, your heart rate should lower under the same set of exercises - increase your intensity/load to bump your heart rate up... repeat.

if you have heart conditions and/or suspect you have cardiovascular problems, please disregard my remarks and see a doctor prior to commencing a weight loss plan.

also see my earlier remark in page 2 of this thread about diets (eg, coffee for breakfast, salad for lunch and one normal dinner): http://www.sg-roc.com/threads/3953-D...405#post426405

Dont eat 3-4 hours before you sleep and try to do cardio with empty stomach after you wake up in the morning
